A Heartwarming Gift Idea

Cup_head

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today i try to keep my posting short and sweet and rather give you some poems and a recipe you could copy out of my posting and use it on your own project.
I don’t think i need to say much about the card anyways :-) eventually you want to know how i have stamped the snowman onto the porcelain cup? That was a bit of try and error stamping. I inked the stamp with Stazon and held it in the palm of my hand. So i was able to push the entire stamp onto the round cup. It did not work with a acryl block due to the slippery surface. The image smeared. After i had a decent image – i used a thin permanent marker and carefully drew the missing lines. Then i colored with Copic markers onto the cup – being very careful not to get too close to the outlines – because the tip will be stained with Stazon. To deepen the colors – i used several colors of Stickles (Candy Cane Red, Lime Green and Stardust)  I don’t think this cup will stand a wash in the dishwasher :-) its more something decorative.. eventually to store some utensils in. I have several cups on my desk here with brushes, glue sticks ect.
 Cup2
This is a great mix to have in the cupboard for cold wintry days!

Ingredients

  • 2-1/2 cups nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2 cups white or pastel miniature marshmallows
  • 1 cup instant chocolate or strawberry drink mix
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/3 cup buttermilk blend powder
  • 1/3 cup powdered nondairy creamer
  • ADDITIONAL INGREDIENT (for each batch):
  • 3/4 cup boiling water

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 6 months. Yield: 15 batches (5 cups total).
  • To prepare hot drink: Dissolve 1/3 cup mix in boiling water; stir well.
    Yield:
    1 serving.

  • Cup3
I hear you've been naughty,
So listen, here's the scoop...
I'm running short on coal this year,
So you get "Snowman Poop"
Love, Santa
You've been bad,
And Santa's got the scoop;
So all you get for Christmas
Is snowman poop!
Hope this gives you some ideas to make your own quick and handmade present for somebody you care about.
I have sent this set to the lovely Nancy Schultz. :-)
