Blue Baby Sophisticate

Hello ladies,
how are you today?

Its finally warming up here in Michigan and i am starting to count down the days we leave to go on a trip to Disney. Lots of things still to get.. i wonder each year where those goggles are i purchase each year for the boys :-) Cant wait to hang out by the pool a little bit and enjoy the sun. The kids are now in a age where i do not feel i constantly need to be with them in the water and have an eye on them like an eagle :-)

Speaking of kids...
One of our friends had a baby boy about a week and a half ago.. she had a really bad pregnancy... so happy for her sweet Andrew is healthy and she can hold him in her arms.

I have knitted her a little cardigan and purchases a pair of pants to go with it. I purchased on purpose not a newborn set because i remember how many things you get in this size and baby grows so fast, i was not even able to put those cute little clothes on my boys

The size you see is a size 6 month and up. Think it should work out fine for the fall too with a long sleeved shirt.
I used for this cardigan the same super soft yarn i used for Camilla's baby's sweater, its just so fun to knit with it.

Here are the supplies i used:

Stamp: Magnolia "Baby"
Sentiment: Papertrey ink
Papers: Maja Design
dies: Go Create, Spellbinders Oval
Charm: Handmade with love - Hobby House

Baby sweater/cardigan:
yarn: Malabrigo Worsted - super wash - Navy
Needles: Addi Lace 5.5
Pattern: Baby Sophisticate - FREE

If you like me to knit a baby sweater for your grandchild or baby, please feel free to contact me at claudiaesrosaathotmail.com.

I would love to do have a reason to make something :-) After my vacation i am going to post a few baby things on Etsy, i knitted in the evenings.

Have a sunny day

 Hello friends,
thank you for your visit... Today i just have a simple card to share and please forgive me the weired photos.
You may have noticed that i am no longer able to post on a regular basis, well the reason for that is that we decided to sell our house. I have been cleaning, scrubbing, reorganizing and also of course buying things to "decorate" your house for selling purposes.
Its a lot of work... we have a small home, 4 people and lived in the house for 11 years. Lots of stuff accumulated, even though i thought we got rid of a lot of bulk when the water damage happened in the basement last year.

Once we are ready for showings (hopefully in a few weeks) it definitely will be challenging with the craft area keeping it clean and tidy. The photo tent used to be in my master bedroom and now i have to build it up and down each time when i take photos - you can tell already in those two shots what a difference it made just because my lamps were not set up right. (i have to adjust the length of the legs again)

These are the supplies i used for the card:
Coloring: Mostly Prisma Color Pencils but some Copics were used as well - face

chalk

Hello,
Thank you so much for your visit. The other day when i colored this little sitting Tilda for my egg container, i first stamped the image off some Kraft card stock to see if the size would work for the container. Than later in the evening while i was cleaning up my craft table i started to scribble the image in with black and white chalk pens. It took no longer than 10 minutes. I was really surprised by the out come and emailed a quick picture to a couple of friends to see if they thought it was worth to make a card with it.

Since there was a lot of scribbles around the image i had to cut that off with the smallest possible oval Nestabilite, but i think it still works. Everything on this card was already previously cut for other cards and ended up not being used and tossed in a clear storage bin to use for later.

All i had to do was add some flowers, sew and sponge the card stock/design paper.

Here are the supplies i used:
Stamp: Pie Tilda, Make a wish sentiment, new york post stamp
Magnolia Design Paper: flowers and blue quilt
Dies: So lovely, Spellbinder banner, Tag, Spellbinder oval, Go Create, Wood embellishments are PrimaMarketing. i know Sir Stampalot has the kit i used.. i just could find the correct direct link. This is how it looked sort of.

LOVT Romantic sneak peek

Hello, today I can show you a sample of the new Lili of the Valley images. They will be released on Monday 21.

newromanticweb

The image I had to use, was not really my first choice. All the ones I wanted to make a card with were already picked, Sad smile YOU GOT TO BE FAST when choosing images.. who snoozes looses Smile I should know better by now.
I just like to color and this image barely has any space to color, if you come to my blog for a while.. you also notice that I hardly ever make Wedding cards or baby cards.. its just not my thing, as you can tell I am not too happy with my sample.
Oh well…. moving on.

However … the image might be a really good choice, for those who need a cute stamp to mass produce little Wedding invites or “Thank you” notes?!

LOVT November release sneak peek

Hello,

Soooo hard for me! I always thought… men! I wished I would have had a chance to practice water coloring BEFORE that challenge came around, but as always time flew and I quickly made this one yesterday.

The card features a soon to released “baby” image by Lili of the Valley. It is called starry bunny and as some of the other recent images it is quite interesting with the frame the artist drew around the image to frame it additionally. I checked if the image would fit in a circular shape of my largest Spellbinder die and it did fit! Which is always neat, at the end however I cut my focal point picture into a square – lots of shapes going on, on my card Smile

LOVT peek

Hi there..
I still did not clean up all the sticks of the Shish Kabob sticks from my pirate card Smile can you tell??
Hei.. an other stick just worked great for this little card.

Iam sure now you have seen already most of the new Geisha images. The stamps will be available at the Happy Stampers show at Port Sunlight on Saturday and then they will be launched on the Lili of the Valley site on October 1st!

Claudia_Rosa_Geisha_1

My card uses a image from the Crafters Companion set.. I figured most of the sample cards will be showcasing Aimi and Cho first, so I thought this could be a good card to show you this image. Of course the Companion sets are really awesome additions to use with the “full sized” images. To make my little card base I used one of Angie’s dies,  she has from GoKreate, while I was one day crafting at her house. I was so happy she let me look through all her supplies Smile I do not have many GoKreate dies, they are always on my wish list on the top but I never get around to order them because they are not cheap.
There is a little tag underneath the image – its hard to tell on the photos I stamped some Chinese symbols “friendship” and “joy” onto that, they came form an older Stampin up set. So glad I hold on to that one!

Bring Back Beautiful_edited-2
Yet again, I am using Flourishes Mothers Words of Wisdom stamp set to stamp my image on I used Flourishes Classic white card stock. I used the flower wreath image and stamped with Memento Tuxedo black. I distressed all the edges with Ranger Walnut ink and I layered the focal image with Spellbinder's die circle die, mounted the panels on a shape I was able to cut at Angies house yesterday and finished the card of with some ribbons and a cherry blossom. Its small, simple but cute and just the right card for my mother.

Super Gal

Claudia_Rosa_Will_2
Sorry for my lack of postings… the family has been really sick. Today I had to make this birthday card Lucas needs for his best friend Will.  This little soccer guy is going to be released this weekend in England at Lili of the Valley’s open house.

An other sneaky peek

Claudia_Rosa_Easter_Sweeties_2
Hello girlies… Valentines is not even here but yet, there is my first Easter card. I absolutely love to make Spring cards.
Coloring on this image is not so “high contrast” as on my other cards.. simply due to the pale papers and also I felt it was not so nice with those cute little ducklings.
Claudia_Rosa_Easter_Sweeties_1
Iam sure you might know already.. this is one of the soon to be released LOVT images… not sure if you saw it already on other blogs… if not.. the name of this stamp is “Easter Sweeties”. The stamps are soon on the store front released. For updates may I suggest to sign up for the store newsletter – it’s a great way to find out about sales and new releases.

No patterned paper

Hello, today we have a "no patterned paper” challenge up for you over on Cute Card Thursday. Thought it would be a great way to start with some tags for Christmas.

Claudia_Rosa_Christmas tags_1
I have gotten from Carole for Christmas last year this cute frame set and I always wanted to use it with my Mini Stamps. My first attempt was the simple approach with just making them look vintage by sponging and stamping in black (Memento) onto Vanilla Cardstock (Stampin up). It looked “okay” but the images just call for some coloring, so I started over and colored them in with my Copic markers.
The golden frame was first drawn with a gold leaving pen using the die as a guide and than traced with Golden Rod Stickles over the line.. .so it does really pop and give the color nicely on the dark brown cardstock.

Congrats on your big news!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Well.. today something different than a Christmas or Winter card. :-) iam sooo ready for some other colors. So for my card today i not only wanted to use something fresh.. i also limited myself not to use any Designer paper. I have simply added color by using flowers and some ribbon. I think the idea works well with this cute Tingla stamp or any baby card. Just nice and whimsical in white and pink :-).

Here is what i have done. I used my circle Creative Memories shape and cut from Bazzill textured Cardstock my card base. You can see where i have not cut the top all the way around. Than i opened the card and cut a window with a smaller ring out. I than embossed a shimmery white paper with cuttlebug Embossing folder and adhered my ribbon to that and than layered it into my frame (of course from the inside i have covered up the ribbon ends with a piece of white paper)

The rest is pretty self explanatory. Just colored Tingla and the little bird in, i could not resist to give him some "newspaper" from yesterday's card to hold.

All the flowers have a nice coat of Stickles on it :-) and around the inner circle as well. I like to leave some ribbon ends farily long and the one end from the left was not really cooperating with me, so i just sat Tingla right over that piece. Just a bit more decoration since the card does not have any patterns going.
This card is also made for this months challenge over on Magnolia-liocus were you are challenged to make a shaped card! See today the very talented Jacques translation for this idea on her blog and over the month of December you can see the other Designers cards on their blogs. I can not wait to see what everybody else will come up with.

Stamps: Magnolia: Tingla (Spring 2008), Bird (So Jolly Christmas Collection), Label (Easter 2006)
Sentiment: Stampin up
Embellishments: Prima Marketing Roses, Karen Foster (Pink Floss ), Hero Arts (pearl stickers)

Made With Love

Hello ladies.. now what do you think about the new Magnolia Collection :-) OMG.. they are adorable. Make it short because i have a lot of pictures i want to show you of my card for today.

Above pictures.. obviously shows how the card looks like (hopefully when it arrives at my friend Crissy's house xx) with the recipe card tucked in. Belows picture - recipe card out - showes the polka dot embossed paper and eventually a bit more how i have tried to make the card look "old" .. lots of distressing and airbrushing with E50, R81 and E34.

The recipe card is actually a Stampin up stamp set"from the kitchen of" i have stamped the Magnolia apple, cut it out and added it between the brackets. Than i have painted the apple with Shimmerz in Celery green. To "age" the label in the front i have used Shimmerz "candle light and Antique Lace" after i stamped the sentiment on.
Pretty much everything i have used on this card can be found over at 7kids College fund
Stamps: Magnolia "Yummy in your Tummy"
- apple (the pears would look nice too)
Recipe card by Stampin up "from the kitchen of"
Cardstock and DP: Basic grey "Lemonade"
Stampin up "Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip
Embellishments: Shimmerz (Celery Green, Antique Linen, Candle Light), White Gel pen, Blue rhinestone stickers, Stampin up: Grosgrain ribbon, big eyelets by Stampin
Tools: Cuttlebug "Polka Dot" Embossing Folder, Big Shot Cutting Machine, Copic Airbrush System, scalloped border punch
if you are still reading :-) Thank you so much xxx for your time. Love
