A friendship card

Hello ladies… back with an other Saturated Canary card. I have had this digi for a while in my collection but I must say I was worried about the size. Turned out by printing it with 34% it worked out quite well for my typical 6x6 sized card and I had still space to color.

However.. this card took me FOREVAAAAAA! I laying all the colours down on the dresses was quite some planning, than I had finally the image roughly coloured in and I was on the little girls eyes and a big drop of blue ruined the entire face of the girl. I had to start all over again. Don’t you just like if that happens?

Well…. I did save the “good” girl, cut her out and added the image to the inside of the card. Love this paper pad from My Minds Eye.. I have papers left for one last card and this rarely happens that I go through a complete pad of patternd papers. There are usually always some I never use.

cute balancing act..

Hello ladies.. time for my “Sunday” Saturated Canary card! Man!!!! where is my time going??!!!
Today I colored Penelope and Posey in.. found that bunny on her head so freaking adorable – this image made me grin.

Matched the image up with some fresh colored papers making sure that I did not have too many flowers showing on my Design Paper since I knew I wanted to add lots of paper flowers to the right of my image.Adding 2 small round paper doilies behind my oval image almost gives the illusion it is one piece of doily.

Als always I did decorate the inside as well, with design paper, paper doilies and an additional sentiment “you are the friend everybody wishes they had”. Of course.. Happy Easter was in my mind for a moment.. thought a friendship card can be kept longer in the drawer and does not need to be shipped to a certain point in time.

Pals forever and a splash of color work in progress

 

Hi friends, I have a lot of photos today – sorry – I am still moving my tent in the house around to see where I can get good pics with the day light I have on certain spaces. Not too much to choose from since my house is not very big
The spot I had it prior was quite nice but it was a pain to clean there since it was so tucked away.

Back to my card… I must say I enjoyed playing with one of my new digi downloads from Krista's cute girl images. I did work a lot on that large card + project order but in the meantime I could not resist to get each week my “fix” on these cute images . When I got this image I thought of Halloween but than the time went by and I thought hmmmm what a wonderful girlfriend card would “Becca and Boo”  make.

I went with happy colors pinks and orange colors and some brown for layering. I must say I was worried about this large sentiment but after asking hubby for his opinion – and he liked it I was okay with it and adhered it permanently.

I did list some cards to my Etsy shop today. This card is one of them if you are maybe interested?

oh… I still crochet iam fiddling around with some kind of a purse I saw online but can not find a pattern for it. It is getting to the point that it is ridiculous how much time I waste to figure out how its done but I can not stop thinking about it. Here are just a few little plays with some colored yarn. I have made my mind up with them.. they are going to be worked into a pin cushions. The yarn is really pretty.. 100% cotton by Debbie Bliss. yuuummm…

Well I hope you liked your visit today … quite a splash of colors considering what time of the year we are in, right ? the last photos are taken when it was getting kind of dark already. The yarn purchase I did yesterday at Michaels. Can you imagine these yarns creating something flowery and pretty? awwh.. I love it

Hello my dears…
hope you have a fantastic week so far.
Have you ordered your new Magnolia stamps from the Sweet Rainbow Collection already??? I did yesterday and iam quite excited about this new collection. I was hoping for a while to get some gardening images to my collection. So much what we can make with them.

My card for today uses one of the previous or current collection lol… however you will call it. What a cutie… i wonder why i did not make a card with her sooner. Paired her up with this amazing Pion Design paper sweet Crissy gave me.
You may notice the watermark all across my images. I think from now on i have to do that, although i must say i HATE watermarks. If i go to a blog i want to see EVERY detail and not get distracted by watermarks. Unfortunately there are people out there who steal images off blogs, burn CD’s sell those as “card inspiration” or use the colored images to create blog banners, blog layouts, or even using the saved photos to create a own gallery on SCS and pretending it is their artwork. I have had it seen all :-) It is really upsetting. Iam not going to mention and link to those people, cause i do not want to give them the attention they seek but i think it is terrible to do such thing.

Friends Fill Your Life With Flowers

Hi, today i would love to show you a quick covered match box. I was not able to toss any of my paper scraps from this lovely Maja Design Paper away :-) So i was able to cover the box with snips and scaps without creating more.

To cover the red of my box i squeezed in the edge of the papers Chocolate brown Stickles. Everything is heavily sponged and aged with Walnut Ink.

Hello, thank you for swinging by.

Today i would love to use a few minutes, to talk about the reason i have made this card.
On Cute Card Thrusday the theme is couple or pair… i barely need any Wedding cards and for a while now i wanted to use this cute Lili of the Valley image.

Now, since we all do not live in the world of fairies and butterflies we have to worry about or bills, our jobs, our kids our husbands/boyfriends. I thought this could make a nice girlfriend card to let somebody know… hei… if you need me to talk – iam there for you. Lets just go for a cup of coffee and talk about it.

Therefore i went with darker colors for the matting but still have reds, yellows and some teal so the card does not look totally droopy.

Magnolia Challange "Shiny Silver"

since i was a bit early with my balm holder this moring, sorry... i was thinking to show my card already today :-)
Lots of glitter on the ground she is standing on. Onto the swirls i added dimesional glue and added glitter as well. It is hard to tell, but it has really some dimension (used special glue for glitter). The friendship sentiment is embossed with silver detail embossing powder and on every scallop is a swarovsky stone attached. Lost of shine going on and thats what it is all about in this weeks challange "Shiny Silver". Cant wait to see what you come up with. Thanks for looking.
