Hello ladies,

how are you today?

Its finally warming up here in Michigan and i am starting to count down the days we leave to go on a trip to Disney. Lots of things still to get.. i wonder each year where those goggles are i purchase each year for the boys :-) Cant wait to hang out by the pool a little bit and enjoy the sun. The kids are now in a age where i do not feel i constantly need to be with them in the water and have an eye on them like an eagle :-)

Speaking of kids...

One of our friends had a baby boy about a week and a half ago.. she had a really bad pregnancy... so happy for her sweet Andrew is healthy and she can hold him in her arms. 

 I have knitted her a little cardigan and purchases a pair of pants to go with it. I purchased on purpose not a newborn set because i remember how many things you get in this size and baby grows so fast, i was not even able to put those cute little clothes on my boys

  The size you see is a size 6 month and up. Think it should work out fine for the fall too with a long sleeved shirt. 

I used for this cardigan the same super soft yarn i used for Camilla's baby's sweater, its just so fun to knit with it.

A baby cardi with a baby card

Hello dears, how are you today?

I would like to show you a little hand knitted vest i have made for an acquaintance. I am pretty sure she will be more than surprised when she is reads my name on the envelope lol.. she is expecting her first baby and i think it is such an amazing experience (if you are not constantly sick) i wanted to make her a little card and of course since i love to knit - i wanted to make a little baby sweater. They are made so quick, the one you see i was able to whip out in just 2 evenings. I even have some yarn left and if i find time i might make a matching hat. The size you see is size 3-6 months, with some room to grow into. I remember getting way too many gifts in size newborn and the babies grows so fast - i wanted her to be able to put the little one in this handmade gift a little longer than just a few weeks. Hopefully she likes it. Fingers crossed.

Oh yes, there is also a card i made to go with the sweater ... the colors of the sweater dictated the colors - i found them in the fall line (Walking in the Forrest) of Maja Design Design papers but i think it does no show too much. You can find all Maja Design papers over at Timbroscrapmania.

LOVT November release sneak peek

Soooo hard for me! I always thought… men! I wished I would have had a chance to practice water coloring BEFORE that challenge came around, but as always time flew and I quickly made this one yesterday.

The card features a soon to released “baby” image by Lili of the Valley. It is called starry bunny and as some of the other recent images it is quite interesting with the frame the artist drew around the image to frame it additionally. I checked if the image would fit in a circular shape of my largest Spellbinder die and it did fit! Which is always neat, at the end however I cut my focal point picture into a square – lots of shapes going on, on my card

Hei there.. sorry for my lac of postings. I feel like I sit in my craft area every day but nothing comes together. Well.. I do make cards to post for next month too and its just quite some time to cover. I really enjoy creating the scenes lately but boy it really does take so much more time than just stamping a Tilda on a paper and get going with coloring and making the card. Not sure if I can keep up with this much longer. I thought this image would be so cute for a baby or even a girl in her toddler ages. It’s not the newborn card I would sent. Thought this way the card could be used / kept a little longer before sent off.

Some of you asked about the pretty sentiment I used on my Koala “hug” card. Well.. good news.. Tammi might have her pretty sentiments made into Rubberstamps. I will keep you posted as soon I know more. The one I used on my card today is also made by Tammi.

Hello friends.. a card with one of my new Magnolia’s I went with a – I felt easy image, it just was less to think what kind of papers to pick and I really was intrigued to use the blue and yellow papers I found the other day in my old Stampin up stash. Some of you know that I rarely make baby cards, since I never use them, but I thought this image would work nicely for a boys first birthday card or even for the second year.. oh well.. I might be mistaken lol

Hello… found yesterday some time to work with my first stamp Magnolia kindly has given me to make some sample cards. I went with expecting Tilda, simply because she was fairly quick to color in. The other stamps I got are going to be more work to color in I must say usually am not so keen about baby cards in general, simply because I do not need them, but this image is definitely neat to have in the collection cause she is going to be so easy to use for invites (thinking mass producing these baby shower cards).

Hi there..

I just have a very simple card to share.
The card is “small” only 5.5 x 5.5 – used some of those DCVW papers I went nuts with back than when the Jungle Collection came out. OMG.. I think I have like 4 pads of it and I can not stand them anymore. I added some flowers – altho the request was not add any I just looked too empty with any at all.

Today’s card i have made for our Challenge over on Cute Card Thursday the theme for this week is “Ribbon-Tastic”.

How fun is that? You have to check out what the Design Team came up with.

For my card i used some of my super sparkly ribbon pieces i got from Carole. OMG.. i got that ribbon in 3 different colors – it is soooo cute. 

I hope my photo at the top shows a bit that i have cut the koetje image once out and raised with some dimensional off the card.

Since i had no matching “baby-ish” Design Paper to combine with the yellow paper – i just used a cuttlebug embossing folder (Devine Swirls) and embossed a piece of grey paper. My Gosh.. i remember using the embossing folders way more than i do now.

This card is only 5.5 x 5.5 inches in size. I felt this worked best for the size of the stamp and my design with the ribbons.

Happy Spring

 Hello and a wonderful start into your day. Hopefully my card cheers you up a bit. I am ready for Spring.. it is my favorite time of the year.

But here in Michigan we still have to wait quite a long time for the first flowers – just got yesterday more snow.

What do you think about this cute stamp “Koetje with butterfly” stamp? Again it was a surprise stamp i got in my DT package from Cute Stamps and Cards and i was really thrilled to see it. If you can, you should take a minute to browse all those cute images that Nellie Snellen has.. there are like 3 different sections of lines. How cute can this one be for a all Baby cards? No babies for us in sight, that’s why i made a Spring card :-)

Something Round - Something Square

Hello and a wonderful day. Today i would love to show you the little box i have made to give with the card from yesterday. I thougth it would be cute to add some baby shoes or a pacifier inside. Just something small.

the pink paper is glued right onto the white card stock , you know how this is there seam to be always "gaps" after the glue dries? To hide those and just stick the Designer paper flush to the box i have added around the corners Star Dust Stickles.

Thank you ladies! Iam off to take the boys to the dentist and an other trip to the mail office to get Christmas mail posted. The lines here at the mail office are getting already awfully long, i am worried how it will be in a few weeks.

Congrats on your big news!

Hello and welcome to my blog. Well.. today something different than a Christmas or Winter card. :-) iam sooo ready for some other colors. So for my card today i not only wanted to use something fresh.. i also limited myself not to use any Designer paper. I have simply added color by using flowers and some ribbon. I think the idea works well with this cute Tingla stamp or any baby card. Just nice and whimsical in white and pink :-).

Here is what i have done. I used my circle Creative Memories shape and cut from Bazzill textured Cardstock my card base. You can see where i have not cut the top all the way around. Than i opened the card and cut a window with a smaller ring out. I than embossed a shimmery white paper with cuttlebug Embossing folder and adhered my ribbon to that and than layered it into my frame (of course from the inside i have covered up the ribbon ends with a piece of white paper)

The rest is pretty self explanatory. Just colored Tingla and the little bird in, i could not resist to give him some "newspaper" from yesterday's card to hold.

All the flowers have a nice coat of Stickles on it :-) and around the inner circle as well. I like to leave some ribbon ends farily long and the one end from the left was not really cooperating with me, so i just sat Tingla right over that piece. Just a bit more decoration since the card does not have any patterns going.

This card is also made for this months challenge over on Magnolia-liocus were you are challenged to make a shaped card! See today the very talented Jacques translation for this idea on her blog and over the month of December you can see the other Designers cards on their blogs. I can not wait to see what everybody else will come up with.

New Beginnings

Hello ladies.. thank you for all your lovely comments. My card today uses one of my favorite Hanglar Stanglar images.. the little boy in the moon. You have noticed probably on some of my other "baby boy" boxes and cards that paper :-) it is the Stampin up freebie from the Sell-A-Bration 2009. I think its quite cute. I was close to just skip the challenge for this week on Cute Card Thursday because i do not really need Baby cards at the moment, so for my card i have skipped the sentiment and hopefully i find somebody who just likes the Hanglars as much as i do and does not mind this card in the mail.

Little One - Baby Gifts

Hello and a good start into the new week. I think i told you on Saturday that i have worked on some Baby gifts? Well.. this one is for the Baby girl :-) I love that cute little Magnolia horse. Lucky me i was able to get it though  the new stamps sell fast. I used a pail by Stampendous but i noticed that some pails were i buy my Prima Flowers are exactly the same. Maybe a little smaller, but still.. a nice way to use up the pails once done. I bought some onesies and just rolled them, tied them close with the same kind of pink satin ribbon and added them into the pail. Usually i tend to use way more ribbons on the side of the pail but this time for some reason i did not wanted it to be too frilly.

Here is the group shot. Iam not happy with the lighting of my pictures. As you can tell the light came from the left side and totally "beached" the colors out.

Because i needed gifts for babies this month i challenged my friend Inge to alter something as well. (sorry Inge.. you had to do it too lol) Now have you seen what she made??? YOU MUST lol.. anyhow.. as usually when i see what Inge had made i thought I HAVE to make that too. So, tomorrow i will show you a quick item that i have altered for Easter. I think you all might like that because who does not need last minute items lol

My little angle

Hello all today i have some exciting news to share. I was invited by Regina Easter to join the Cutting Cafe DT. Iam so thrilled .. i looked at Regina's designs and i knew that's something i would LOVE to do. It will be nice to create again some boxes or other cute 3D items. :-)
All of these cutting designs come in the format of wpc or pdf. With PDF you print the cuts using your home printer. Think of the PDF as being a template that you can use over and over again....Very SIMPLE, put cardstock into your printer...cut, score and assemble...then embellish. How fun!!!
My card for today is a card i have made with one of the very adorable Sarah Kay images. This is certainly not a "newborn" card - the sentiment is "little angle" i thought that could work for a 1 year old birthday or even just from grandma to granddaughter to say i love you.
This is how the inside of the card looks like. The panel for the sentiment is not yet stamped i will pick just the perfect one once i need the card.
