Each person who came to the class received a complimentary rubberstamp to keep from Angie. Janice made for each person a sweet gift bag to take home. I brought from the USA some typical American candy to add to the bag.

Purple and Green

is the theme on Just Magnolia for this week.
Well… as much as I love purple I have a hard time using this color on my cards.. probably because I never find any really pretty papers. well… besides the Maja ones and I literally hold on to those Smilelike there is no tomorrow.
Claudia_Rosa_Debbies_Disney_1
My friend sweet Debbie ordered this card for her daughters 12 birthday celebration in April. She wanted the card to be green and purple and Magnolia’s Eiffel tower needed to be used because the family celebrated the girls 12 birthday in Disney world Epcot.

Upsi.. sorry this posting was accidently published too early on Pretty Pressings – I had intended to post the short version to my Magnolia only blog.
Claudia_Rosa_Tilda on wave_2
Thanks so much ladies for your comments yesterday. Wow.. I am so happy about the feedback also I am very touched by the generous and selfless help sweet Christine Dark, Sandy Hulsart and Nicole offered! They sent me sheets to look and and in their emails I got a TONN of help with infos. I was so touched how they shared, cause they have worked for that already so hard.
Now I have lots to read which gives me ideas what to expect and modify certain things for the way I make my cards.

The workshop will take place Sunday 17. in Novi I will email everybody tonight.
Thanks so very much to all of you!

Here is a card with some of my new Magnolia’s. I paired Flip Flop Tilda with Key West Background and some Magnolia papers. Lets face it.. the Sports Collection was not such a big seller but the papers I love! I was just about to look to re-order some more of that wave paper and its already sold out.

The inside panel is removable and I thought I would look cute to just tuck a tag, gift card or even a stamp along with the white panel into that triangular pocket.

Happy Birthday

Claudia_Rosa_scooter boy_4
Seams I am on a “boy-card” roll … those new Lili of the Valley images are just too cute. I was looking though my stash to find some silver star embellishments but I have nothing left…. I guess the pewter kind will have to do for now.
Claudia_Rosa_scooter boy_2
As always I find it quite hard to find interesting and different embellishments for my boy cards. Who would have thought that this little chipboard crown my sweet friend Kristine gave me years ago as a Christmas gift would end up on a boy card Smile. The maker is RiffRaff and back than when I looked around to get some more, they were so hard to find and if so.. they are quite pricey, but today is the day lol it’s been used.. can not hold on forever on those things, right Smile

Hope your day is FIN-tastic

Hello ladies, today’s card is for Just Magnolia – we want to see buttons and bows on your cards.Claudia_Rosa_Mermaid_1
I worked on this card over the past week. This card is really a work of heart. I don’t know how many times I sketched out this little sczene. I really wanted the seaweed behind Tilda and I could not find the stamp. Finally I decided to “doodle” it in.. but honestly I am just not a Chris Dark. OMG.. I wished I could just simply draw myself the little things in. Check out her “simple doodeling” right here. I just drool over her work!

Finally, I found that silly seaweed stamp in a box and I started all over again. I must say  I am really happy with this card. Usually when my cards are made, I put them into a save drawer and keep them there but this one is on display in my living room where I can see it all the time Smile dam I guess its because I know how long this card took me to make. Asking hubby about his opinion.. the largest reaction I could get out of him was “nice”! awwwh!!!.. I guess there will be no dinner tonight for him hahahahahClaudia_Rosa_Mermaid_2
Stamps: Tilda Pearl
Seaweed
Barrel
Seashell
Ocean Background
Papers: Magnolia bubbles paper
cardstock: crychon paper it sparkles itself so pretty. I got mine through Angie Hunt’s store

all accessories as pretty charms, teal/blue mesh, organdy ribbon and the sparkel button can be found at the Ribbon Girls
Claudia_Rosa_Mermaid_3Claudia_Rosa_Mermaid_4
all right.. sorry for the load of photos. I have added a few more because Chrissy mentioned the other day she would love to see the coloring more. The reason I have the “protection” on my blog is simply because I got really sad about all the the image theft that has been happening. One lady one time even started her own Splitcoast gallery with some of my photos. Claudia_Rosa_Mermaid_5I will let you go into your weekend with a big hug and thanks for all your support and compliments. Wish me good luck with Niklas. He is down with step throat – I hope we will not get sick.Claudia_Rosa_Mermaid_6

Happy first birthday

Claudia_Rosa_Babys first birthday_1
Hello friends.. a card with one of my new Magnolia’s Smile I went with a – I felt easy image, it just was less to think what kind of papers to pick and I really was intrigued to use the blue and yellow papers I found the other day in my old Stampin up stash. Some of you know that I rarely make baby cards, since I never use them, but I thought this image would work nicely for a boys first birthday card or even for the second year.. oh well.. I might be mistaken lol
I will make it short today. Iam off to take my kids to see the doc. Hugs

for a great guy…

Hello, how are you today?
Today I would love to show you a card, dear Pamela asked me to make for her husband. She loved Lili of the Valley’s aero plane image for a possible birthday card for her husband.
Claudia_Rosa_aeroplane_1
At first I was a bit hesitant to use flowers on a guy card, but Pamela assured me that it would be okay.. I thought the criss cross style pocket card would be a great solution to make it a bit more manly and also the use of those pretty new My Minds Eye paper. They gave me quite some choices on colors to use.
Claudia_Rosa_aeroplane_2
These are some of the supplies I used to make the card
Size: 5 3/4 x 5 3/4 inches – I found 6x6 a bit too large for the size of image
Sentiment: Stempelglede and Papertrey ink for ticket sentiment and ticket border die
Dies: Spellbinder lacy circle, Stampin up punch (to make the tabs), Stampin up ribbon, pearl brads, Memento ink, Walnut Stain, cheese cloth, Tim Holtz film strip
Claudia_Rosa_aeroplane_3
Off to get some stuff in the house done.. iam expecting my family in law to arrive this afternoonSmile
hugs
Claudia

Honey… xoxo

Hello ladies!Claudia_Rosa_Honey_1
FINALLY I can get to my digis again AND print them out. As much as I like how super fast my computer is now – it was a pain. The computer was not connecting with my printer and I just have on this computer a photo editing program installed – which you need when printing Krista’s digis out. I have printed this cute image – one of her newest drawings in size 32% out. I loved 34% but it was than after all a bit too large.
Claudia_Rosa_Honey_2
Usually I really like to color Krista’s girls with black hair. There is just something about those girls – I just like them with black hair Smile so I thought I have to go a bit lighter – blonde was my goal.. which you can tell.. did not turn out at all – well .. she is a brunette now.
Claudia_Rosa_Honey_3
The card fits also in this months colour challenge the sweet Ribbon Girls have set. We want Pink – Brown and Cream! Check the challenge out.. there is a great prize to win for making a card.
