prepare for take off as once again we prepare to travel the world and be
inspired by talented girls from all parts of the globe! A big thank you to
everyone who traveled the globe with us last month and stamped our passports
(left comments), we were thrilled to have you join us on the maiden flight!!
Do you know that your travels around the Flourishes World gives you the
opportunity to WIN?? All we ask is that you do a little globetrotting and stamp
our passports (leave us a comment) and you could WIN A FREE FLOURISHES STAMP
SET!!!!! The catch is, you don't know which country is going to be this month's
Vacation Spot (chosen blog), so leave a comment on each one by September 30th
for your chance to win!!!!
This month the hostess is Anne-Elise and we've been challenged to Remember our
Friends! Where would we be without our friends? We laugh together and share
our dreams, and when things are hard, we want to be there for them or be a
shoulder to cry on when they grieve. Today we remember those friends with
Sympathy, Missing You, Thinking of You or even Wishing You Were Here cards and
perhaps we'll even have a special story to tell you about those friends that
have inspired us along the way.
If you've jetted in from
Kathy’s blog, then you have arrived
at the right destination! If you haven't, perhaps you'd like to start your
journey back in Florida at the
Flourishes Blog
so you don't miss all the beautiful inspiration along the way!

I stamped my floral piece from Flourishes “Summer Blossom SS197” set onto Kraft cardstock and colored the flowers with pencils in. The sentiment is from “Hydrangea SS 194 and is one of a set of 7 beautiful stamps” and I stamped it on some lovely papers by My Minds Eye “Rosy” which is also available at Flourishes. Dies (frame and the border die) are both made by Magnolia they can be found through Sir Stampalot.

Thanks for taking time to visit me , it's time to grab your passports and board Flourishes Flight BWT, your next and last destination is going to be the Flourishes Blog.

For Carole…

Claudia_Rosa_Caroles friendship card_1
how blessed am I to be able to travel this year to all those places and I am so excited as of today as I am writing this posting to know already a few people I know for sure I can meet. It is even more exciting to sit here and think who else from the blogging community I might be able to meet in person. OMG!!! THIS IS INSANE!!!
Claudia_Rosa_Caroles friendship card_2
I have made this card to give to my dear friend Carole.. who has been a really good friend of mine since I started to blog. Carole is going to travel just to meet me to Sir Stampalot. I told her I might shed a tear or two when I finally get to see her in person.

I hope she is going to like this card. Since I can give it to her by hand I thought it would be okay to have the tags stick over the 6x6 card base. Usually keep everything inside that perimeter.. its already hard enough to mail those kind of cards with all the high flower embellishments on them.
Claudia_Rosa_Caroles friendship card_3
For my card I used
Magnolia Design Paper forget me not floral – MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE – I have only 2 sheets and I want to stock up on it while I am in the UK
blue kitchen cloth and world map paper
Tilda with anchor
Cat tails, Sandcastle
Dies: So Wrapped Lovely, Tag
Sentiment front: Stampin up, Sentiment inside: created by my very talented friend Tammi – they might become soon available in Rubber through Little Darlings. Please contact Angie Hunt if you are interested. The more email she gets, the more likely she she will have them made into rubber!

Spring Cleaning

Claudia_Rosa_Thanks for all you do_3
Hello friends.. have you started your spring cleaning??
Don’t you just love to do laundry Smile
awwhhh… all the wonderful things we are responsible for in the house Smile thought this sweet image drawn by Krista would be quite sweet to give to Mom or just somebody who does a lot for us. Iam always so grateful if somebody can help me out watching the boys if I have to go run someplace. It’s really the little things that matter the most

LOVT peek

Hello friends.. sorry for my lack of postings… I have had a rough 2 weeks. Both of my boys got sick and there is just not much sleep for me in. We have also painted a large room in our house which made a lot of dirt and moving furniture around. It feels good now to look a the new colour and placement of the beds in the room. Claudia_Rosa_all you do_2On my card today I used one of the new soon to be released LOVT images. I am trying to use more of my dies I have in my collection. Just spent a bunch of money on some plastic sleeves and files to just organize all that stuff and I am quite happy the way it works out for me. I can now actually see what I have and just flip through my stuff.
Claudia_Rosa_all you do_1
well.. there is not much else to say about the card I guess… details like colours I have noted on the end of this posting. Oh yes… the size of the card is 6x5.5 inches and I oriented the layout horizontally. Man, I can not even remember when I have made the last time a layout like that! Thank god, for oval shaped images Smile

Thanks a bunch

Hei there….. well.. guess this card does not really fit into the season. I did make this sample back in June/July 2011 for a  book submission. Emphasis was how to color backgrounds and folds just with Copic markers in. The card made it to the final cut but was than denied because it had too many layers. I still like this card. The photos look a bit odd – the card is in real not so “bright”. Speaking of bright.. I am so lucky.. my husband noticed how upset I was about the broken bulbs, so he ordered for me new ones. They have arrived yesterday and they give me really bright light, much lighter than the ones I had before.. best part. They were less money! We spent around 40 bucks for 4 daylight bulbs (they were on sale and had free shipping) vs. the ones I broke 1 bulb did cost $27.00 Smile I think you can understand now why I was so upset breaking them.
Well I should go, I must crochet a baby hat, a kind lady ordered through Etsy. I want to post all my mail today.

DT #2 Thanks

Thanks_1_re
Good morning everyone…
Thank you so much for swinging by today. I would love to show you one of my cards that i have made with some stamps and supplies that i have gotten though Magnolia Sweden.
Magnolia wanted us this time, to use some of the stamps from older Collections. So in my DT package i have found the cute flower pot from last years “Chasing Butterfly Collection” .
I could not resist and combine that stamp with a stamped image for Honey Bee Tilda (Raising the Ceiling Collection) that i have gotten though my wonderful friend Carole last week. Thank you so much Carole for everything xoxoxox :-)
The little tag Tilda is holding can be found in the Magnolia “New Years Collection 2008”. The sentiment is by Stampin up.
The embellishments, flowers & ric rac ribbons are all by Magnolia – i have gotten 1 sheet of Design paper – per card i have to make, but obviously.. lol.. i like to have more so i have added a couple of more sheets from my own stash (Basic Grey “Wisteria” line). Thanks_re
Coloring is done with Copic Sketch markers.

Thank you

Hi and a wonderful Monday. Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my card this past Friday! I think iam going to have a tough week ahead of me with some family coming to visit us later this week from Toronto and getting my family prepared for the vacation (we drive with by car down to Miami). I have decided that i am going to have this month here and there some random blog candies to give away. I would love to avoid the blog candy blogs.. I want the prizes going to some of you who come and visit me regularly and to be honest.. i will not have the time to just check if you have advertised my candy on your blog. So iam not going to ask much..the candies i will have up are always for one day only. :-) Some gift sets are bigger, some are smaller.. but i hope it is going to be much fun for everyone. Please know that i appreciate each and everyone of you. Thank you for coming to see my cards and if you have time to leave me a message.
lots of love Claudia

Thank you

i added some bling to my card lol :-)

Hi, ready for the next challenge over on the Friday Sketcher blog ??? :-)
Well as you know you could combine the Cute Card Challenge with the fab sketch Jaqueline created for us. Wow... at first i was totally intimidated by it. I had never used a triangle on my card before. But once i cut the paper and i layered it on my card - i was like WOW THAT looks really good and interesting! No wonder Jaquelines cards are on many magazines published!!! So please check out her card and the other Designers work for this week - oh and btw.. of course we have again a great prize for challenge week #26!
