Sunday to you all. Thinking back to the times when i still lived back home in Germany were the times when i have met Sundays either my family or friends for coffee and some yummy cake.
Today i would love to show you some “virtual” cupcakes :-) but scroll all the way down.. my dear friend Crissy is an expert in backing and cooking and she provided a really yummy recipe for cupcakes. You might want to print that out for your own recipe book.
But first i would like to spill some for me exciting beans that made this weekend for me so special. I have been in contact with Janice for a some time now and now iam so blessed to be in the Design Team for Sir Stampalot. I shopped with Sir Stampalot since my Magnolia card making beginnings. Sometimes i ordered myself or my friends and i put an order together in. The biggest factor for me to start shopping overseas were all the wonderful recommendations i have received from my English friends about customer service and delivery that Sir Stampalot offers. As i have mentioned before on my blog.. it is really true! My material is perfectly packed and best of all … i have my new Magnolia Collection stamps super fast. Did you know that Sir Stampalot is shipping next week the new Fairytale Collection stamps out. I bet i will have my new stamps within like 6 days or so.
Even the Magnolia papers, which we know we have to order though a retailer are at Sir Stampalot cheaper than on some other sites. Which are some very good reasons for me to shop there :-) BTW do not hold off too long with your order for Magnolia papers.. those papers sell quickly. I have notice from Magnolia Sweden, that the new papers have been sold out alreayd within 4 days! Usually Design Papers are not being reprinted. We see what happens with the new Fairytale Collection papers.
Now to my card. You might recognize this card. It was published in Magnolia Ink 2. You can now pre-order Ink 4 which will be amazing. I have some new stamps here and they are all super cute and so versatile for our 3 D projects! I bet the team will make awesome things with those cuties.
I was able to make this card with a stamped image with Tilda with Tulip (Hoppy Easter Collection) my dear friend Jacquline mailed to me and some lovely papers (Blue Berry Hill) my friend Jacque gave me. Thanks to both of you!
I have made some charms with some shrink foil using the big cupcake which can be found in last years Valentines line. The border was made with a Martha Stewart border punch!
Please do not forget the blog candy i have up for grasp.. you can still enter today and tomorrow until i close the posting.
If you have some time today.. i would like to mention my friend Crissy who kindly shared the recipe with me and Janices inspiring blog where you can see all the Design Team cards and events that Sir Stampalot is hosting.
1 8oz. carton sour cream
l/2 cup sugar
l/2 cup milk
1 egg
l/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
2 T. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
I use the jumbo muffin pan which makes 6 muffins. You may use a regular muffin pan.
Lightly coat 6 jumbo muffin cups with cooking spray or line with paper cups.
In large bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in the shortening until flour mixture is crumbly. In another bowl, mix the sour cream, l/2 c. sugar, milk and egg. Add that to the flour mixture and stir lightly only until combined. DO NOT OVERMIX. Stir together the the brown sugar, nuts, 2T. sugar and cinnamon. Spoon half of the batter into prepared muffin pans. Sprinkle half of the nut mixture into cups and top with remaining batter and the remaining nut mixture. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool 20 min. in pan. Best when served warm.
