Vaccation Picuture Double CD Holder

Hello, i hope you have had a wonderful weekend. For us here it is Labor Day Weekend and my husband is home from work. I think this will be the last "water-themed" card for this year.

Some of you may have noticed that i never mention that i make really cards for my mother lol. That's simply cause she does not care about crafts and pretty much tosses the cards in the trash can. She cares about pictures of the grand kids :-) i can understand that. Anyhow.. i want to sent her photos from our Summer vacation and from Lucas first day in school and i thought the double CD holder would be a nice personal gift.

If you like to know how this one is made, please check out my tutorial that i have made in the very beginnings of my blog. It is all in German.. but the photos are quite clear and the measurements are in inches. All what i have done with this one is cut the size back so it is not so long as my original template. Just cut both papers at the same time off to the size i wanted it to be.
Supplies: all stamps here are Hanglar Stanglars. (Front 2 are retired from 2007 i can not tell you for how long i have searched to get my hands on those cuties!
Sentiment: Stampin up

Embellishments: Jute from my friend Carole, Buttons, blue rhinestone stickers, Stickles
Corner Rounder, absolutely important for this project Scor it tape (that stuff holds!!!) and Scor pal

This project is made for "Stamp with fun" were our challenge for this week is to make a cute CD holder. The blog has several links up with all kinds of templates and tutorials so check it out :-)
PS: i love to leave the ends of ribbons extra long on projects i give away. Some people just need longer ends to tie a bow back closed. It does not look as good on pictures for the blog.. but after all the things we make are for USE not only to look at it, right ?!

This is gorgeous Claudia, what a cheek throwing your beautiful cards away I would treasure them, but if she loves your kids thats good. I love your cards and your blog , I read about your diet, well done you. I used to be tiny naturally slim then I got an underactive tyroid and have put on weight , especially round my tummy. It hard when you love good food and cook for a family, my husband and son are skinny! but god makes us all different and loves us for it. janex

What a absolutly lovely gift! I'm sure your mum will keep this craft! I had to laught about your mum, mine is the opposite, she loves everything I make and if there is a card I love to much to send away, I send it to my mum so it stays in the family :)

Your coloring is so awesome, I love how you see a little sunburn on the skin of the kids. Also love the bright, sunny colours and how you treading the ribbon through the raffialace is fab!

Absolutely fantastic, Claudia. You are just so creative that it boggles my mind. How could your mother ever throw away one of your gorgeous creations. The idea is wonderful, and I'm off to check it out. We send pictures of the three kids to their parents and grandparents now and then, so this would be a wonderful way to encase them. Thank you so much for all the wonderful creations you post to your blog, such an inspiration to us all...hugs...Barb
