Cherry Tree - After and Before

Happy Monday everyone! For today's card i would love to show you two pictures. I do not know about you, but sometimes it takes a while for me finish a card. I usually have about a week's worth of card pre-made that i can post on my blog due to my children. I made this card and i took the picture of it and i knew.. something was not quite right. So, i sent the pic below to my friend Carole asking what she thought of it. She said she would fill in the empty space to the right side. My goal for this card was to use only Magnolia accessory stamps, so i colored an other tree and cut about 2/3 with an exacto knife off and adhered it to the right side. I think the card does look better now. Thank you Carole! It is wonderful that you gave me your honest opinion!

The card is 6 x 5.25 - the challenge was to hide the seam of the embossed white piece of CS. I did this by adding the long Oak tree. The seam is just short underneath the left side of the trunk of the tree, the ribbon had to go therefore more towards the bottom of the card to hide the bottom part of the seam. Otherwise i could have just added the big bow in the empty white space to fill it up. In the big bushy trees i added two dots of red Stickles to imitate cherries.

Stamps: both trees Oak Tree is in the Summer Sea 2008 Collection
foreground tree is in the Spring 2008 Collection (Valentines)
Cherry and Cherry Bucket (inside of card) is in the Heavenly 2008 Collection
Sentiment: Fany Flexible Phrases from Stampin up "Sweet"
CS: SU Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive
Embellishments: Shimmery Circle tag, red button, hemp and brown organdy ribbon

Thanks to all of you who sent me a email or left a message yesterday!!! :-) Yes, it was my 40. birthday :-) I can not believe how spoiled i got from all of friends i met online from all over the world! I swear my dining room table is still full with the presents from you guys!!! lol.. i can not put it away, there is so much to look at! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! Today i have to tidy up the house and hopefull i can make a card. Wow.. last week i barely had time to create something... i will show my cards i recieved sometimes this week:-) I want to take nice picturs of each card i got from you.

I love the card with the trees. Of course I love all of your cards. Can you tell me if the oak tree is the large stamp that could be stamped in 2 pieces?

Happy belated birthday. I got your blog site from Irina.
