Booklet

Made this yesterday for Donalda . She is really nice and her creations are great. She asked me for some Magnolia images so she has some to work with till her stamps arrive.

If you would like to make one yourself, i added a tutorial here: Booklet Instructions or at the bottom of this post. Call me crazy cause it's my 3. project this week using flowers but i am also going to add this to Papertake Weekly Challenge blog.

I hope you like this one. I think it is really cute and a nice gift idea. Enjoy!

Stamps: Magnolia Tilda, Stamp of Autencity "Stampin Up"
Paper: "Making Memories", Noteworthy, Chololate Chip, Purely Promegranate and Soft Sky "Stampin Up"
Embellishments: felt flowers "Making Memories" Noteworthy Collection, Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, Purely Promegranate satin ribbon, Stickles for Tildas wings
Ink: Chocolate Chip

Booklet Instructions

You will need:Embellishments, double sided coordinating Designer Paper, Mod Podge/sticky tape, Scoring tool, cardboard / chipboard,

for my cardboard i used the backing that comes with my Stampin up Designer Paper to hold the paper in place. You may also use a cerial box. cut a piece to size 5x5 inches. (you can make any size you want) for me it just worked better for the scraps i had on hand.

than cut the DP you want to use to cover your front and back to 7 x 7 inches and score each side at 1 inches. I brushed Mod Podge onto the front of my cardboard and glued the DP on it. Than i wrapped the 1" pieces to the inside. You may want to look at these pictures: http://rosaswelt.blogspot.com/2008/02/chipboard-post-it-tutorial.html

cut 2 pieces of coordinating DP to cover the inside to 4.75 x 4.75 inches and glue them to the back.
Cut a stripe of 12 x 4.75 inches of DP and score it every 1"
Fold it in accordeon style.

Flaten Sie dieses im Ziehharmonika-Stil.

To create the pockets you will need 3 pieces of DP in size 4.75 x 7.75 score this on from the bottom at 2". Add Sticky tape to it and close the flap to make pockets.

Here is a pic of mine - you will need only 3 of them.

Hier ist ein Bild von meinen. Sie benoetigen aber nur 3 Stueck

Adhere the 12 x 4.75 accordeon folded piece of DP to your front cover and your back cover.

You have created your booklet. All what you will have to do now is to add your pockets between the folds use double sided tape on the back and the front to hold it close. Hint: use every other fold to put a pocket inside. Use a ribbon to hold the book shut. I used double sided tape on the back of the ribbon to hold it tight arround the spine of the book.

Daisy Tilda

Here is my second card for this week that fits into Papertake Weekly Challenge . I just had to use this ribbon today.. i found this ribbon from Making Memories last week in a store and i was only waiting for my new Tilda to arrive. The center of the daisy is actually pink but i was able to color the center of to flower of back side with my marker in yellow. It is hard to tell but on the Soft Sky rectangular panel i stamped a daisy flower from "Think Happy Thoughts" in craft white ink.
Supplies: Craft white ink, Black ink, 7-Gypsies Jumbo Eylets, Crop-A-Dile, Making Memories Daisy Ribbon, Chocolate Satin Ribbon, Stampin up Square punch, Soft Sky, So Saffron and Close to Cocoa CS, Imaginice DP, Tilda and Think Happy Thoughts stamp sets, Marker

Life Is Better When It Sparkles..

Not much to say about this card. It all came togehter by using this cute paper from "Serenic Route". I love how many possibilities you will get with just one sheet of 12 x12 paper ... sometimes they have a strip of sayings in it too. The colors of this DP paper is a very close match to Stampin up's Soft Sky and So Saffron and thats what i have used for cardbase and the layering. The ribbon is SU's Close to Cocoa and a Barely Banana color i got through a ribbon swap. The star Tilda is holding in her hands is covered generously with Stickles :-), the buttons have silver cording and for extra sparkle i added Swarovski chrystals to each corner.

Coaster Source

I noticed that Step was so nice to make some Post-it-Holders with my tutorial. She asked for some other sources to get to the coasters.
I got mine trough a share on SCS.
An other source is:
American Coaster they should be the cheapest.
http://www.americancoaster.com/ You have to call them though for the blank orders. For the medium weight 4x4 coasters you get 1080 for $15 and change. Then if you want a heavier coaster, they are like $16 or $17 for 980.
Your contact there is tracyk@americancoaster.com She is really nice, helped me with all my questions. Be aware that the ones I got worked perfectly with the new SU 3/16" corner rounder. I was over joyed about this - you just cut your paper 4" x 4" and punch the corners and you're ready to rock!
or you can try ebay
(http://www.starlitstudios.com/). She is a well know girl from SCS. Her prices are good, her service is amazing, and she has the 4x4 coasters, 4x6 coasters and circle shaped coasters.

Hope this helps
Claudia

Loads of Flowers

I made this card for the Arty Girlz Challenge blog. I know i am late but i thought i give it a try. This also fits into this weeks Papertake Challenge to use flowers on your project. The sentiment is hard to translate. It's a card for somebody who just passed the drivers licence test. In the pocket i put my drivers licence to take the pic but when i sent this card to my mom (she is giving it away) she will add in the pocket a gift card from a gas station

stamp set: Loads of Love Stampin up
