Hello there…today I would like to show you some simple random things… I am sure you are also using your craft supplies for those quick projects to pretty things up its part of the fun having all that stuff that we all collect.
I love especially using all the shapes Magnolia has in their DooHickey die line – THANK god I have a new die cutting machine. I just recently broke my Sizzix as seam to have forgotten how to sandwich the plates after my long crafting break DUH!!! I feel so stupid – this sure was an expensive mistake.
Here I am using DooHickey Heart tag along with a very pretty Magnolia script stamp. The hearts are decorated with some small rose buds or some wooden flower shapes out of a Prima kit. I have seen several sets over at Sir Stampalot. I will see if I can find the link for you. I attached all the tags to my gifts with some bakers twine.
Looking good on the presents behind the chair you can see how nice the Heart die cut looks on the gift bag. The snowflake tissue paper and gift bags were all purchased at Joann.
The crochet hearts also looking good as Valentines deco on my willow branches (found at Ikea)… no idea how many more to crochet… maybe 25??? if you are interested in the pattern just leave a comment (Pretty Pressings blog) and I can write it up for you guys.
Than I did some sewing… drew my own pattern for it until I was happy with it. I purposely did not turn the fabric inside out.. I liked the frayed fabric like that. For decoration I used Magnolia Doo Hickey Tea-Label Tag set – you will get 3 shapes in the set. This piglet went to Sweden as it stands for God Jul there, in Germany we have piglets for “Good Luck” around New Year or as its called there “Silvester”.
Than I quickly altered a Distress crackle paint container with some pretty leftover Magnolia Paper – the one I used is called “Riffard Roses” and comes from last years “Special Moments” Collection. Those papers are just too pretty to throw any pieces away. I keep most of them.
I used DooHickey Vintage Daisies Flower dies (on sale right now), So Wrapped Tilda Lace label and the heart swirl branch die. Really inexpensive decoration and it just makes it so much prettier for gift giving.
The ribbon is by Martha Stewart, to adhere my papers onto a round surface I like to use Scor tape.
All right.. thanks for swinging by today. Hope you are going to have a great weekend with hopefully some crafting time involved.
hugs
