Cute Origami Card Fold

Hello friends, today i would like to show you a couple of cards i really quickly whipped out the other day to give to 2 teachers at school.

The cards are made so quickly and are something special you don't see every day and are fun to open.
here is a shot of the two samples i made one uses Happy Easter Tilda and the other uses Tilda with Egg and Chicken.

For both cards i used heavy patterned paper - you know i love Little Darlings new line. I raved about it quite a few times. Its just the patterns of the paper are really nicely scaled and the quality of the paper is wonderful.

Well... i took a few more shots to show you how the cards fold. you don't need to add a ribbon to hold the cards shut. i just added that as a extra decoration. see the little square flap.. that's where the tip  of the envelope gets tucked into.

both cards are decorated in the inside. Lots of possibilities. as you can see. One card i did use a few more accessory stamps and on the red purple card i just added a sentiment and added a I Tunes gift card.

Additional stamps used:
happy Easter Sentiment Magnolia
bumble Bee - Magnolia
grass with butterflies -Magnolia

I did post the tutorial for this quite a while back on my blog with step by step how to fold and score. I have no time right now to find it because i have to pick my boys up at school in 10 minutes but i have a 3 card on my desk sitting and when i post this card i will explain again how its made.
Sorry for that.
hugs and i hope you enjoyed this posting

Dear Claudia,
Thanks for answering my question so quick! I think I am going to buy me some Copics soon ;) I now use markers of a cheaper brand, but I am not very happy with the results. About the pencils, I have a couple of Derwents, but I don't think they are "smooth" or soft enough. Unfortunately my budget doens't allow me to buy everything at once, so I have to make choices in what I buy. I think it will be some copics!

About your new project: WOW!!! I cant believe that you made this cards "in a hurry". They look wonderful, and again those colors... wow I love it! These cards look amazing! And you used my favorite stamps from the Little Easter collection... a couple of blogs ago Tilda with Mr Rooster and now Tilda with Little Chicken en Happy Tilda. I bought them all three myself :) lol
Looking forward to your next project!
Greetings and have a nice weekend,
Esther

Hi Claudia,
Thank you very very much for your fast and great comment!
About the costs of the hobby you are absolutely right. It is so much more than stamps and coloring materials. Paper pad cost a fortune, altough there are some stores here, which sell cheap ones and other cheap embellishments.
When I started with stamps a few months ago I decided to buy the Spectrum Noir Markers, they are cheap when you compare them with Copics. Overall I am pretty happy with these markers. And because they are not so extremely expensive I was able to buy all 196 colors at once :)
But some colors aren't working well. For example, skin tones, I am not satisfied withe the results so that's why I am planning to buy some additional copics as well. Starting with a few colors, just like you recommended.
I have thought to buy copics second hand, but you can't be sure if they are good. Just like you who got broken pencils :(
About the derwnets... maybe it is just not my thing ;)
I saw some work of Alberto online and in Magnolia Ink (I think its the same Alberto you mentioned?) and his work is indeed fabulous! But for now I will stick to the markers. Can't buy every color material at once and my wish list always keeps getting longer :) lol

Again: thanks a lot for your advice! Greeting, Esther
