Something different than stamping…

Hello, thanks for visiting me today.
I thought for a while if I should show some of my knitting projects on this blog again Smile Angie asked me a while back “you are not knitting much anymore lately” and I thought to myself… well.. I really should make photos of my work and show it on my blog. The blog is in some kind about “ME”, what I like to do and I am sure you all have hobbies besides stamping and coloring. So why not.. after all if I finished a project and it turned out nicely, I am happy and proud of myself. I pretty much taught myself how to knit, just like nobody ever showed me how to color.

Clockwork_3

The first scarf is the one I finished just on Friday this week. The pattern is called “Clockwork” by Stephen West. I would consider this pattern a really easy one and I believe a beginner could make this scarf with enough patience. Endless rows of garter stiches but the result is well worth it. When modeled the scarf to my husband he said “I WANT THAT ONE!” and it was the biggest compliment he could have make me. I thing what appeals on this one is the construction and those graphic lines.
Here are some notes for this project

Pattern: Steven West “Clockwork”
Needles: #4 US Addi lace (I swear on Addi lace needles) its like coloring with Copics
Yarn: Madeline tosh Merino light in Toast (brown) and Antler (cream)
blocking: lightly with wires
bind of: as pattern
time to knit: about 5-6 days

Making an other one like this next week for myself

Here is a little easy mindless knitting lace number in purple.
I have made that scarf around Christmas. I had stopped knitting in summer and needed something easy to get back into it again.
Simple and easy pattern found on a Norwegian blog for free, super easy to memorize I would also consider this as a beginner pattern, with the first step into lace knitting.

Pattern: free – I forgot the name email me if you are interested
Needles: #4 US Addi lace
Yarn: Malabrigo Merino sock yarn in color “Abril”
blocking: aggressively to open lacework with wires
bind off: Elizabeth Zimmerman's super stretchy sewn bind off.
time to knit: about 4 days

I haven't been cruising my blogs in a while, and look what I missed! Love your scarfs, they're just beautiful! Both of them are so different from one another, and just perfect for the current weather. They both are so lovely and inviting, though I'm probably more drawn to the purple since that's my favorite color! Yet, if I were to look at the colors I buy, the tan one would be what you would find in my closet.....neutral, it goes with everything!!! You did a great job on both of them - so talented!
