Santa Mail and a little panic

Claudia_Rosa_Santa Mail_1

Hei girls… with Thanksgiving just right around the corner I must say iam starting to panic a little with my Christmas presents. I have been making quite a few handmade knit and crochet gifts but my cards are not even started yet. I have 2 more card orders from sweet Shaunna and than I have to get my behind moving for my things. geee… I can not believe it. I guess I want to post around December first otherwise I am in the mail office line. Last year it was all the way outside of the building each day. So I must say.. iam a bit in panic mode.

this card has been ordered from Sonja quite a long time ago – I just had such a hard time to find a paper I liked with it. I thought I would need papers with reds but also lots of other colors so I can color the clothes in. After I had given up digging through all the pads I have – I just started coloring and it came together so easy and I did not even need many colors. Added a little deco to the photo Smile I had 5 of these cute containers for my Mom2Mom sale to display my crochet hats. They did quite well… however people asked for larger sizes. I guess I will have to think about that next year. Speaking of Mom2Mom sale.. I have still some Motivet stamps (on EZ mount) I would love to sell for 4.50 US a piece – if you are interested you could email me (claudiaesrosa@hotmail.com). Email me the stamps you would like – and I can have a look if I have the stamps. I have 1 pile I want definitely sell and the other pile is a possible keep pile Smile but I might sell.  I also have still my Making Memory Slice – used just 1x I would sell for $25.00 – it sells currently for around 99.00 at Michaels plus tax.

Back to the card Smile
Supplies on it are as always Copic pens
Then paper is by Echo Park 12x12 – I must say I love it – I have the entire pack almost used up (shared half with a friend)
Stamps: Lili of the Valley Lots of Letters
Sentiments: Postmark clear this is really a great set to have and best of all they are back in stock! You might want to hurry with them – If you like them. They have been sold out just earlier this week.

Just beautiful Claudia! I too am panicking a bit - gifts to make, piano recitals, a birthday party, two more work trips out of town, several Christmas parties, our open house and a baby shower to prep for and host and we are quickly running out of November! Oh well, take a deep breath and try to have fun while making all your preparations, it's the only thing to do. :)

Absolutely enthralled with your cards esp the various styles you manage to create - just wonderful.

On your posting issue:- I'm disabled so when it comes to the Christmas posting option I've had to always plan well ahead, so what I do is take a sample couple of cards down to the PO, get them weighed & then buy the volume of stamps I'm likely to need to cover the quantity of cards I routinely send each year. I just buy a few every week from September when I remember, & then come the last wk of November all I have to do is slap them on, & find a postbox. That covers 2/3 of them, and for the few others I'm fortunate enough to have my brother who's more patience & ability to cope with queues than me, to go and post them for me. :). It's a great time saver.

Another wonderful thing here in the UK is that we have stamps you can buy called Large that are for those cards over the normal size (not weight) but while the normal stamp prices would change you can seemingly get away continuing to use these Large stamps regardless i.e. they don't have an amount on them & nobody seems to worry if you bought them 2 years ago despite 2 stamp price hikes since!!

Have a wonderful Christmas :)
