Memorial Day

Happy Holiday to all Americans!
Many of you remember those brave man and woman they have lost while they served their country.

I usually have each Memorial Day a card with Magnolia stamps ready. This year i was late to sign up for the annual Memorial Day blog hop.

But last night when a big tornado came through our area ( my town was saved, the storms went to the left and right of us up to Canada) i made this quick card. You can tell that i was distracted. I totally forgot to sew the main image – i left a bigger border to add the stitching. Oh, well by the time i noticed it was glued on.

Stamps: Magnolia Edwin
Papers: Magnolia – all through Sir Stampalot
Check out those new cute Molly Bloom farm stamps! I just found them while looking for the links to Edwin and the papers.

Flag die: Whiff Of Joy through Cute Stamps and Cards

Size of card is this time only 5.5 x 5.5 – i needed a card that is flat and not bulky – no flowers no high embellishments – no big ribbon bows

Gorgeous! I really like this one! As for the sewing, looks fine without it. Can't imagine why you would have been distracted...hehe...so glad to hear that you are OK. The weather this spring has been just scary.

This card shows your beautiful colouring off to perfection....and while we don't celebrate Memorial Day here in Australia, I can see the patriotic references in the Stars and Stripes papers and the banner. Just lovely, TFS, Dee

Class is permanent, and especially for Shakespeare works, it’s immortal. Shakespeare works are something that never gets old. It used to amaze people when Shakespeare wrote them during his time, and even after well past four centuries, his works are still loved and cherished among literature lovers. One can have these works in all, and a visit to www.rightbooks.in/Items.asp?cid=1&fc=William%20Shakespeare&pt=5 will do that.

am so glad you town was not hit Claudia! We don't have tornados down here - they must be so terrifying... I love your card without all the extra bulk and didn't even notice you'd not stitched around him!! ♥
