Dropping by to celebrate

Hello ladies, today i want to show you a card made with one of those new Magnolia Mini stamps.
I have gotten a few in my last DT parcel and i must say i had pushed the task away and away. I simply had no idea what to make with them. Than the other day i came across some old Stampin up stamps. If you look at my sentiment… in the middle was instead of Tilda a Monkey and it had almost the same size. I cut him out and glued Tilda in the spot.

Claudia_Rosa_Mini_2

Do i think it will take less time to make a card with a Mini Tilda? ABSOLUTELY not for me. I probably fussed way too much around. Most of my embellishments are compared to Tilda way too over scaled and i felt everything i tried took attention rather away from the image, instead of supporting it. However… i love little 3x3 cards which can be given away inside a little box, i think I am going to try to make bunch of those next.
This card is 4x4 and i still think it is a bit too large for this image – if there would be not such a big sentiment surrounding Tilda and making the focal point image larger than it actually is.

Claudia_Rosa_Mini_1
Stamps: Mini Butterfly Tilda
(Chasing Butterfly Collection) Mini’s soon available through Cute Stamps and Cards
Sentiment: Stampin up (Hostess gift Level 3 – retired)

Paper: My Minds Eye
Dies: CREAlies border die, Spellbinder oval

PS TIP: If you never have taken a rubberstamp off your wooden block.. here is what you can try. Heat your stamp in the microwave on high for about 20 seconds, take it out – careful it is hot. Peel rubber including EZ mount off the block. Now you can eigher take the EZ mount off your rubber too and remount it on Cling EZ mount OR cut just those parts from your stamp out that you want to keep. I like to do this mostly with sentiments.
Hope this little info helps one of you.

Ooh my! How cute! Really sweet looking. I find these little ones hard to colour. You have done a great job. Have you thought of creating a little scenery with both big and small magnolias? I think you can pull that off!
Love n hugs

Hi Claudia,
I love the minis and I am collecting them, but I have to admit I hardly ever use them. They seem, like you said, even too mini for small cards. The new minis are even smaller than the older ones. It's a little sad, since they are so cute.

But back to your card :-)
I think you did an amazing job using the butterfly Tilda, which is one of the bigger minis. The image really pops out of the card and looks wonderful!!
