Stamp Simply Blog Hop

Hello and good morning. I am very honored to be part of this months blog hop for
Sharon Johnson’sSimply Stamp and Ribbons”.
If you do no not know Sharon… i would like to tell you a little bit about her. She is and has been my stamping idol for years, even prior to blogging. I think i have told you many times, that do get inspiration for my cute artwork from non-cute stamper… and Sharon is one of them.
SSRSNov2blogbannerpic
Sharon also has a ribbon store with a fabulous selection of May Arts silk ribbons, laces and twine you name it .  Sharon also has some paper pads (Websters Pages, Cosmo Cricket, K&Company), some stamps and provides great card making kits – I have used on my card and project the Simply Santa kit. Which contains the brand new Websters Pages Christmas 6x6 pad paired with “ Backyard Birds” stamp from JustRite. I love the kit.. there is no time consuming search for matching colors in my ribbons… everything is already ready to go. I have stored all the items in a clear box and I am ready for the next card.
Claudia_Rosa_SSRS_3_Nov_Bloghop
Each month the Stamp Simply Blog Hop has a Blog Candy offering!  Today's offering is a selection of red and white ribbon with a value of well over $50.00, so maybe keep this in mind for December, January and so on :-).  For a chance to win, just leave comments on all Blogs participating.  This will be a Mystery Candy, meaning we don't know from which Blog the winner will be selected, so leaving comments on ALL blogs gives you the best chance of winning.  The winner will be selected on Friday night, 11/5/10, at 6 p.m. EST.  The winner will be announced sometime on Saturday.
Claudia_Rosa_SSRS_1_Nov_Bloghop
I created a 5.5 x 5.5 card using the Christmas kit (Sparkler and ribbons) and with some some scraps of the green paper i decorated two small acetate boxes. I think the Webster’s pages are just so delish – i could not waste a single piece. I used those to make a belly band for the 2 acetate boxes – seam is hidden behind the focal point image. The boxes open and close like a book and sandwiched in between is a little Christmas note – this also keeps the boxes stay in place.  About 90% of my Christmas mail is going to be shipped to Europe. I love to add little lightweight gifts to the parcels. Michaels sells some Prima flowers, but they come in glass jars. It is hard to post those into a flat rate envelope, but a zip lock bag does look rather unattractive.
So this is my solution. Just a nice gift for your friend.

I hope you liked the idea and you can find inspiration for your own twist on your creation.

I love your idea for "connecting" the two boxes. I wouldnt have thought of that. The red birds bring back fond memories of a dear friend of our family when I was growing up. She LOVED red and collected red birds. Everytime I see one I think of her.
