Superhero

Hello, thank you so much for visiting my blog. If you are the first time here and you have arrived though the “Memorial Day Weekend Blog hop” Thank you and I hope you enjoy your visit on my space.

memdaybloghopbig

As most of you know i am native German but the sister of my mother was married to a US soldier. He served for the Navy and also my cousin has served. I have the highest respect for all those brave man and woman who leave their loved ones to go into many times dangerous areas of the world to protect their country and their believes.

This is the second year that iam participating in the Memorial Day Blog hop (you can start here at the beginning) with a red, white and blue card.  I have almost missed it this year, that’s why my card has the number 5 on it but i did not want to miss the fun and I hope you can overlook that. :-) my card otherwise does fit the requirements.
Thank you!

As for the image… isn’t “Spiderman Henry” the cutest, and best of all he is available as FREE DOWNLOAD over at Katharina’s private blog as of today. If you like to see more Henry images, you can find many at the Whiff of Joy site.

The papers are by Cosmo Cricket (Orbit Collection) and i thought the cubes kind of look kind of like bricks. I cut the windows  out with circle Nestabilities and than just heavily distressed and pulled the edges pack, so “Spiderman Henry” would look like he is pulling himself out.

The acetate spider web overlay (Screen Prints-Hambly) is a piece of scrap from last years Halloween card. Sentiment is by Stampin up and the sparkly chipboard pieces are by Pink Paislee. I could not resist Stickles.. :-) i carefully used some on the edges of the circles.

Thank you for reading and i would like to sent you over to visit Amy from Amyspaperaddiction.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend to all of you!
Take care of yourself. Hugs Claudia

Very cute! I like the way you use wire on your card (or is it thread?) to look like the spiderwebs...

Gorgeous card! Thanks for the link to this digi- my son (21) used to love Spiderman- he wore his Spiderman backpack to bed the night before his first day of school (I took a picture), so this is a great image for me to use for a card or future scrapbook page for him! I love all of the elements you used- esp the spider web and the web shooting from his hand! TFS
