In Good Times Or Bad

Good_Bad_head

Hello … aahhh.. weekend is almost here :-) do you think you might have some time to make a card? Cute Card Thursday’s Challenge might be something to try? For this week we want you to show us “sweet” themed cards. For my card i picked this cute image from Motivet’s new October release called “Children with Gingerbread house”. Kept this one really “classy” with no flowers ect. because i want to use this card for a male.

Since the card is fairly simple i would like to share some extra “tips” about this card. As you can tell i have used Nestabilities Label 2 to create my main shape and layered in the inside a square Nestabilitie from the small set and than ran it though my Big Shot. The patterned paper is sandwiched prior to the cutting with a piece of cardboard (i like the cardboard that comes with Stampin up’s patterned papers) to give it more dimension and it is just sturdier. Good_Bad_1

I don’t know how you cut your flourish shapes, (on my card “Flourish Label) with Nestabilites.. but i was at a point that i was about not to purchase ANY of them anymore because it was such a pain to get one completely nicely cut out. Until.. i have read about the trick using a “Backpapier” (sorry not quite sure about the English word.. it is that brown paper that you use underneath cookies for backing) use this first in your Nestabilitie and than the patterned paper and cut! It will be nicely cut the first time, every time.

Claudia, you sound like me at time. I am speaking english and thinking the German word and can't think of the right word :D:D. They sell Backpapier here in the states as well, it is by Reynolds and is called "Parchment Paper" it is not brown like the German Backpapier, but white ;D. Your card is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!! The colors are so rich and beautiful. It is always so fun to come visit you Blog and see all of those masterpieces. Hugs, Sabrina

So darned cute! I am interested in these dots on the cheeks I keep seeing; are they there to illustrate a shiny sparkle? What kind of pen do you use for the dots? They are so cute, but I never knew how to do them.
