We took Lucas yesterday to the ER after he complained Saturday late night that his entire hand is in pain and his finger started to look like a big pear shape (filled with blood) and the nail tip blue to his wrist is blue. The X-rays showed that he did break his finger. The doctor said that we have to go back in 4 days and if he does not improve he might have to have surgery. The way his finger looks after such an accident is normal. Yesterday Lucas was doing much better but Saturday night my husband and i really worried because of his complaints in his entire hand. We thought that he got an infection. Puuuh... this is the first big accident one of my kids had. iam sorry if i freaked out :-) More to accidents probably to expect i guess lol

Im not surprised you freaked out, its always to difficult with your children when they get hurt, you dont really know how to take it away from them,I do so hope your sons hand improves and that he wont need any surgery. Oh, Claudia! Don't apologize for "freaking out!" You "freak out " because you LOVE him. That's a LOT better than being one of those parents who pay no attention to their kids.
Now you can relax a little since you know what is wrong. I hope he gets better FAST so he can enjoy the summer.

Don't worry about freaking our when one of your kids are hurt and in pain. That is very understandable, I did just about each time one of my kids were hurt or sick. I hope he gets better and doesn't have to have surgery. Good Luck.

My prayers are with Lucas for a speedy recovery! I know it can be so scary. Gianna broke her arm when she was 3 and It was scary. She just kept crying which clued me into it was something serious.

Such a pretty card Claudia, love the Sarh Kay image with these colours and papers. Glad to hear Lucas' finger is on the mend. Being a nurse I see everything you can imgine but if anything happens to my family I freak out a bit, it's natural to be protective and worry! Don't apologise! :-)

Hi Claudia, I read your Sunday post, but didn't get chance to comment.. So glad to hear that Lucas will be OK.. You had all right to freak out, that's what moms do when something happens to our kids.. When my son was 12 he had a compound fracture on his forearm.. that took about 4 month to heal.. Wishing fast recovery to Lucas!! Oh, and of course, your card is fabulous as always!!
