Handmade Envelope Tutorial

Edit to add: to make handmade envelope: "The Enveloper" i would also recommend to purchase the remoistable glue for your envelopes. In the past i have closed my envelopes with Mono Multi glue. I am very very happy with this glue.. however i find it not good enough for envelope boxes due to the heavy layers and embellishments i use. I have found that Scor tape is just PERFECT. I used it on everything.. on the altered note books i made because this is supposed to be an item that you USE.. i actually tape down the ribbon with it. That stuff sticks!!

Hi, as promised here are pictures how i create my own matching envelopes for my cards. I love this personal touch. Plus i invest so much love and time in my creations.. i feel like a matching handmade envelope is just the dot on the i :-) If you use a CS like this you can still hand write the address onto the envelope - the patterned papers work with Avery Labels or if you add them to your present.

Lets get started:
You will need
The Enveloper, I just noticed that the store i got it from has a sale on it.
The tool comes already with scoring numbers but, not for the card size i craft in 6x6 and some other sizes i use occasionally. I will add the scoring / paper size for those card sizes later on.
Cut your paper to 9.5 x 9.5 inches.
for envelope boxes cut to 9 5/5 and score on D and D1

See the "lip" this is an important "gap" you want to pay attention, once you lay your paper into the enveloper.
For 6x6 cards you want to lay your CS on top of that "lip" score now on mark "F" all the way down on all 4 sides.
This is what you will get. Note.. i want the pattern on the outside showing so i scored on the white side of this paper.
Cut all 3 little triangles out.
if you want to make a envelope for a basic card you just fold and adhere your flaps with glue.
Since some of my cards are thicker, because i decorate the inside as well I tried yesterday to make a envelope box for those kind of cards. At this point envision folding the top flap once back towards the table making a little fold just a few millimeters above the scored line and fold back. (i noticed i have more control over the size of my fold by folding it once back and than back forth) Repeat this step on all 4 sides and you will get a 6x6 envelope box! Perfect also for cards with thicker embellishments. You can determine how much space you need.

I use the red bottle glue for my cards to hold everything in place. After your envelope is assembled you add the glue in the green bottle to your flap. You can re moist this glue like you would do with your store bought envelopes.

You have to express more your opinion to attract more readers, because just a video or plain text without any personal approach is not that valuable. But it is just form my point of view
