Peony Accordeon Card

Today is Papertake Weekly Time. Thought it would be kind of nice to make something different than always boxes :-) So here is my "crafty" idea:

CS and DP Stampin up
Stamps: Stampendous Peony Square and Peony Panel, Sentiment Stampin up

This is one of the card was made in November 2007 I was not allowed to show you earlier because it was published in Scrap Art Zine.

Todays card project - is on demand a faster one to create. The only challenge for you on this card style i would say, is how to decorate it.I used this card style to make a Dinner invitation. On each panel i had the menue, like first the time when your party starts, second panel was first course, second course and so on... just an idea what i did. (I used "Voila" from Stampin up and cut the cook out and added him on the spot were the sentiment is other decoration were hardware, ribbons)

To hold the card shut.. .you can use your crop a dile to punch holes on the panels 1 inch from the top in and from the bottom in, thread ribbon and tie. This will hold your card shut and gives you other possibilities.

Lets get started:
the measurements: cut CS at 8.5 x 5.5 inchesscore at 4.25 and foldfold the front back in half (see pic below) feel free to change dimesions if you need more space on your folds. (Remember this is the US size card.. feel free to make the card bigger so you will have more space to add maybe Magnolias. The folding will not be difficult cause you will just always fold each panel in half - you will not need a scoring tool)

cut a second piece of cs 8.5" x 5.5 "fold in halffold each panel again in half - so it looks like a "M" attach with tape together with your first CS piece. Now you are ready to embellish and layer CS.

There are some more samples on Papertake Weekly Blog - please take a look. Unfortunately i will have to tell you that this will be the last tutorial I was able to provide for Papertake Weekly. Due to my time management, i have for crafts i have decided that I can not participate anymore. It was a great and fun time. Steph and all the other girls were fabulous to work with. Thanks for having me.
