Friday Sketchers first week

Hello, today is the first day of our new sketch challenge blog the Friday Sketchers. All the "Sassy Stampers" were working really hard together as a team - to get the blog ready to go online today. Beatrix made a faboulous blog banner for the FS blog and Kimmie has already two more sponsors for us, who will be donating great prizes. Who it is.. ?? This first week it was my turn to be the hostess of the challenge and represent the USA. My sketch is quite simple to make it easy at the beginning. It features something i thought is right now very popular in the US.. Cuttlebug embossing folder. Cuttlebug's embossing folders are great, if you have a piece of pretty patterend paper but not a different coordinating piece of of DP to layer with.

On my card the piece of dry embossed paper repeads the circle pattern of the DP. After i ran my shimmery white paper trough the CB, I heat embossed it with Irricend Ice embossing powder for extra sparkle. Unfortunately i was not able to capture this with my camera. I added on the edges of the clear flower some Stickles and in the center of the flower Tilda is holding is a drop of Ranger Liquid Pearl in pink. Other: Sewing and distressing on the card.
