Farm Fever and some organizing

Today i post my card for Saturday a bit earlier cause i do not know when i can be online tomorrow. Just when you think the basement comes to an end - it all starts over again. We had 2 days ago a water leak in the bathroom upstairs. Well, the water ruined all the new walls my craft space. So last night we worked till 2 pm in the bathroom and i think tomorrow we will have to fix drywalls in the basement. Thanks to all of you who are still taking time to leave comments on my blog. I love reading them and i hope i can be back soon.

I made this card with stamps i had purchased at Magnolia's store in March. I always loved the horse. Bea was so nice and sent me back then some images but i used them up really quickly. i just knew that needed the entire farm line for myself. KIM?? The card was based on an idea i had with this card. I thought it would be kind of nice to have the triangle further up and create a scene behind the front flap. So, when i looked at my Designer Paper i found this "dreamy" (call it this way cause the way the flowers are printed) piece of paper Pauline sent me and i knew it would be cute with the farm theme i wanted to make for a while. The card is a 6x6 square. The front was cut diagonal and i cut about 1" off so i can add my jumbo eyelet with the ribbon to it. yes... the fence is all hand cut.
I could not take a good picture with an nice view so you could see where i added the sentiment. I used the SU Tab punch and it is added to the image with the horse behind the flap. My camera just had problems with the focus.
Coloring: Copics and Chalks
Here is something else i wanted to show you. Maybe this is interesting for some of you - iam sure you all have your own organizing tricks. Since i have no really craft space at the moment and 2 small children iam always worried to loose stamps. I got a long time ago these sheets from Sunday International. They are prefect to store the stamps with EZ mount. I have my Magnolias sorted on these sheets in categories like flowers, animals, plants, fences and so on. The sheets are than stored big file. Once iam ready to stamp a scene , i pick a empty sheet and just collect the stamps from my files. This is also a great way for getting something organized in advance before you can actually start stamp. I do this usually at night while watching TV and than in the morning i just have to lay this sheet beside my cutting board and get started.
As you can see on my sheet, there are a lot more stamps than i was actually able to incorporate to my card. The good thing tho was that i was able to see what i have while working on my card rather than of standing up and double check through my boxes what else could fit.
LOVE these sheet.

Fabulous creation again Claudia! Sooooo much work and effort has gone into this....but it's sensational!

I got a couple of these sheets myself and I agree they're great for storing your unmounted stamps!

A couple of years ago I made myself a stamp catalogue! It was a dreary couple of hours getting all my stamps into it, but now it's only a matter of updating it with each new stamp I get! I keep it in themes, flowers, wedding, baby etc...it also helps me not forget what I have and is great for inspiration too! Reminds me of HOW many stamps I have...but I still don't have enough! haha

I'm so sorry about your hard work being damaged with the leak....my mum would say "these things are sent to try us...and try us they do"!! bx
