One of my readers "Ilona K." sent me the other day a big Scrapbook Magazine from Germany to the US. (Thank's again Ilona) I was really surprised when i read a big 2 spread article about embossing but no comment about a little "helper" that makes a big difference for us cardmakers. The litte helper iam talking about is called the "embossing buddy". It's the little pillow you can see in the middle of my picture below. On my card for today i embossed the sentiment with white detail EP - simply because even tho i do have white craft ink it would have not coverd the strong colors of my DP as much as i liked it to be. For embossing sentiments i use detail embossing powders, Versamark, embossing buddy and the heatgun
you simply rub with the embossing buddy before you stamp a couple of times over the area and work in the same steps as you would usually emboss. On the next picture you will see the difference
on the left side the sentiment is not as clear and you have lots of spreckels from the powder still sticking on the cs were your hands have touched. On the right side the sentiment is nice and clear.
