Masculine Magnolia Cards

First i would like to tell you that this will be my last project as a DT Member for the Magnolia Challenge Blog. But i sure will visit the blog often and see what you guys come up with.

This weeks challenge over at the Magnolia Challenge blog is to create masculine cards. Again, I wanted to try showing you how versatile Magnolia stamps are. They look lovely just by themselfes. When i create something for a man - i usually go with what my husband would like. He likes dark brown colores and no frills.
Here is my frist card for a birthday. I stamped "Happy Birthday" with chocolate ink on the right hand bottom but i is hard to see. It uses chocolate chip cs and wide chocolate chip grosgrain . Magnolia flowers are stamped with Chocolate Chip and Close to Cocoa. One layer in Close to Cocoa CS ties the colors together. My next card uses also Chocolate Chip CS, Very Vanilla as base and some sparingly Pretty in Pink cs for layering. I embossed the grid with my handy Scor-pal board and a bonefolder. Magnolia praline stamp was stamped onto Very Vanilla CS and embossed with oval Nestabilities. I colored the image with my markers and used Sakura Souffle pens for the icing of the candy. Sentiment is from Stampin up (Level 1 Hostess retiered) and punched out with my Word Window punch. The corners of the chocolate chip cs are punched with ticket corner punch.

Beautiful cards Claudia, I especially like how you used different coloured inkpads for the flowers on the first card. So effective and very classy!

Love these "manly" cards. The first one is one I am going to have to "lift" and try and do one like it myself! Love it!
