A Little Birdie Told Me...

.... that you are having a baby.
This is my work for the MagnoliaChallangeBlog. The task was to create anything baby related. Last week had just a few Magnolias , so my choice was very limited, but i thought i can make the girl with the bird on her hand work.

Now there is a little story about this card. When i scored the card i thought i do not have to look for the scoring measurements anymore, cause i made already a few that day. So i scored the last score the one on the tip at 3" instead of 3.5. When i was folding it toghether, i noticed the mistake and how ugly it looked. The paper was ruined. No way i could leave it that way. But on the other hand i could not throw a entire sheet of DP just yet in the trash. So i covered the front flap with a piece of Cuttlebug embossed white paper (Textile Texture) and tied a ribbon around, which covered the scoring line in the inside, a little strip of double sided tape holds the ribbon in place. I was one happy girl :-) To make the swirls behind the girl i used Stampin up's "Bronc Buster" , a glue pad and some Stampin up Dazzeling Diamond Dust Glitter. The sweater she is wearing is paper pieced with Noteworthy DP.

Funny thing is... my son Lucas former pre-school teacher told a friend of mine (officially) that she is pregnant. Since Niklas is going to the same school i can give this card to her tomorrow :-)

Stamps: ont-size:85%;">, Crafty Secrets, Stampin up
Embellishments: Silver Brads, Pretty in Pink Ribbon, Dazzeling Diamond Dust
Tools: Piercing Tool, Nestabilities, Cuttlebug, Scoring Tool

Great way to fix a mistake, and I love how you used the girl and bird for a baby card! Awsome idea, I will have to do a take on it. By the way, what is your coloring method for this card? On what paper? I love how you color your images and am always interested in other peoples methods! the below one looks like watercolor and ths looks like alchohol marker? Those easter Magnolia are adorable aren't they? I check their blog every day for new stuff! Always fun.

I thought I'd commented already but must have dreamt it! I love this card you have made and the way you have used the Tilda stamp. I must have a go at making one of these cards - the embossed piece looks great too!
