Autumn Wishes

Hi and happy Wednesday :-) Iam so happy to show a card using a couple of my newest favorite stamps. Iam so into Halloween mood that i had to add something different to my uploads :-) hei... since in the US is no "Fasching" Halloween is the only time were kids can dress up and run through the streets. I am planning to visit my mom in February and this will be wonderful time for my boys to go to all the different Fasching events.
Of course you recognize Tilda and the sentiment, right? Those are stamps you received when you ordered the Magnolia Fall kit. Remember now you can pre-order the Magnolia winter kit. You will not be disappointed. I combined Tilda with the gorgeous pumpkin/sunflower stamps Helene from Alota sent me. Love this stamp. I purposely did not add any frilly embellishments or flowers because i wanted to sent this card to a male and just added the hemp string i received from my friend Carole to give it a a hint of rustic feel. All the layers of the CS are sponged with Close to Cocoa. Sweing was a bit more time consuming because i wanted to have the same distance on each layer. I don't know what treads you use on your cards but i love the "Guetermann" threads that are very shiny and usually used for embroidery only. Now i always had the problem that those treads break easily. I went to my fabric store and asked for advice. The lady there was wonderful. She told me that usually she would recommend only Polyester threads for sewing on cardstock but i could try a needle with the marking "red". Oh my.. it looks so much better.. first the treads do not break as often and the holes are so much smaller.
Stamps: Pumpkin/Sunflower by Alota Rubberstamps, Tilda and Sentiment by Magnolia
DP: Fancy Pants (floral) and K&Company, Summer Sun, Really Rust

I just wanted to clarify something.....I tried to email you but couldn't find your email so I'll leave it in this comment-on my post about copics-I meant that I decided to start using copics....."going copic", meant switching from watercolor to copic.
By the way, I love your blog, and tune in every day-I love the music box music and LOVE your art work!
    Thanks! Nicole

  12. Wonderful card Claudia... love the pumkins and flowers! And some great advise on the sewing, the lady in my fabric store recommended a metal thread sewing needle, wonder if that is a red mark needle, hmm may have to check on that! I use Sulky threads, and the glitter and metal threads do break a lot... so I will be trying your suggestion.
