Best Fishes -Friday Sketcher

Good morning everyone... thanks for checking in today :-)
I am happy with my card i can show you this Friday i made it for this weeks Friday Sketcher "sketch" lol...
Okay, back to the card... i think the set of these sailor children are sooo cute.. Diana was out of any accessories to go with her... so i had to come up with something different so i can use her as soon as possible. I split a toothpick with my exacto knife in half so it had one even surface this way it says in place under Tildas hands. Than cut carefully the hands and a bit from the arms open so i could slide the toothpick under. Silver string was used to hang the sentiment off the stick. Tilda was colored fast... i left her skirt white but i added some grey just give it more dimension and also on the folds of the skirt is a little bit of stickles.. so have the fish. Keep reading if you like to know how i made my decorative coner piece...

Here is a close up so you can see the handmade photo corner a bit better. I think the tiny glitter i added to her skirt and the fishes does not show :-( I also pieced along the decorative corner tiny holes. I could have used a contrasting DP but i felt it would have been to busy.

If you would like to re-create the handmade photo corner you can do this as follows:

take a pice of computer paper
fold in half and cut your shape out. Do NOT cut too curvy, cause you will end up with something VERY funny :-) rather cut with your siccor more like a border punch would punch - pretty straight.
Open your paper and you will have the curved lines - and any other shape you added (see my sample)
now use double sided tape and add the scrap paper onto your colored CS
from there cut along the lines - this way your colored CS does not have the folding lines you need to make each side the same.
I left on my red CS lots of space so i actually was able to fold and slide the piece over my card corner.
I know my english is funny - but i hope could explane it so you can work with the instructions :-) My blog candy does close today i will announce the winner on Monday cause i have company in my house this weekend and i need some time to check your entries.
